Montgomery, AL- Through its Workforce Development division, Trenholm State offers a new comprehensive Electrical Line Worker Training program for students interested in entry-level opportunities with utility and telecommunications companies. The eight-week course will equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to install, maintain, and repair cellular towers, electrical power grids, and transformers.
Classes include:
• Ready to Work
• ATSSA Flagger
• CPR/First Aid/OSHA 10
• TVPPA Climbing Certification
• Class A CDL
According to the US Department of Labor, job opportunities for Electrical Line Workers are growing across the country. The need in Alabama and the southeast will exceed the national average over the next ten years. The annual mean salary in Alabama is $65,120 for line workers.
