The Montgomery County Probate Court Hires Latoya Calhoun for Senior Role

MONTGOMERY, AL–Montgomery County Probate Judge J C Love has selected Latoya Calhoun to serve as Assistant Chief Clerk of the Probate Court. The Assistant Chief Clerk position is the highest merited employee position within the Probate Court. In this position, Calhoun will provide advice and counsel to the Chief Clerk and Judge Love, as well as, oversee human resources and employment-related matters, assist in the Court’s day-to-day operation, manage the office’s fiscal accounts and budgets, and participate in the Court’s short and long-rang strategic planning.

“I am so excited to have Latoya join our team. She brings a wealth of experience acquired from her years in state government that will undoubtedly help us build upon and improve what we are doing here,” Judge J C Love said. “Her background in public administration will serve us well as we seek to continue to improve upon level and quality of service, we provide to the residents of Montgomery County.”

“I’m extremely excited to be joining the Montgomery County Probate Court and working in this new role,” Ms. Calhoun added. “I have always been intrigued with local government and I am looking forward to continuing the excellent service that Montgomery residents have grown accustomed to love and expect.”

Ms. Calhoun attended Montgomery Public Schools, graduating from Jefferson Davis High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Troy State University and a Master of Public Administration from Purdue University Global.

Ms. Calhoun is the youngest of three children born to her parents, Thomas and Lottie Calhoun. One of her brothers is Montgomery City Councilman C.C. Calhoun. She has one daughter, Guillana Skye.
