Montgomery, Alabama—Transitioning a love one into a long-term care facility can be stressful. One of the big questions concerning such a transition is how to pay for the care. For example, changes to the laws governing eligibility for the VA Pension Program went into effect on October 18th. These changes make it more difficult for veterans to qualify for the program and receive help paying for assisted living facilities. Likewise, misinformation is rampant about qualifying for Medicaid. Many people believe you must give your assets like your home away or be broke to qualify for Medicaid.

Attorney Sayge Grubbs is the host and the Successful Aging Bootcamp takes place on November 1st at the Archibald Senior Center in Montgomery, Alabama from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. There is a $10 charge to cover materials and lunch will be provided.
