Montgomery, AL– Trenholm State Community College (TSCC) has distributed the second round of emergency direct cash grants to 1,269 eligible students who continue to suffer financial hardships due to COVID-19. TSCC was awarded $946,445.99 through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA). Each eligible student received $745.82 to help cover
expenses relating to attending and other costs arising from the coronavirus pandemic.
To be considered for the CRRSAA emergency grant funds, students had to be enrolled during the Spring 2021 semester and meet one of the following: be Pell Grant eligible, a dual enrollment student, or a non-credit student. TSCC is committed to providing financial resources that assist students with challenging economic circumstances due to COVID-19.
Eligible students with a balance due for Spring 2021 or Summer 2021 were given the option to apply the grant funds to their outstanding balance before the disbursement was processed.
