MILLBROOK, Alabama – The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce will host the Women Who Mean Business Conference and Market on October 19th at the Church at the Brook (2890 AL-14, Millbrook, AL 36054). Registration is from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. The conference begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. Participants must register in advance at www.millbrookchamber.org in the events section. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
This will be a fluid event, with lots of options for attendees throughout the day. There will be 4 breakout sessions featuring Annette Funderburk, President of Ingram State Technical College, Dr. Joyce Loyd-Davis, President of the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama, Desirae Lewis Jackson, Elmore County Commissioner – District 5 and owner of Lewis Law Firm, PC, and Connie Bainbridge, Manager of Community & Economic Development for the Central Alabama Electric Cooperative. The Keynote speaker for the day will be WSFA Meteorologist, Amanda Curran.
The market will consist of over 25 vendors, sharing their products and services, along with special giveaways for attendees at each booth. Other special giveaways during the day will include, a gift certificate from Jenilyn’s Creations, a basket of delights from Smith-Byrd House Bed & Breakfast and Tea Room, a basket of unique gifts from Main Street Vintage Market, a pair of Tiffany sunglasses, valued at $440, donated by River Region Vision Source, and so much more!
On hand in the market will be Samantha Legg of Pair of Leggs Studio who will be doing professional headshots with digital edits for only $35!
Lunch will be provided by Chance Catering and Kingdom Dough will be serving up their newly famous Bread Pudding Bars made with their handmade doughnuts!
This promises to be a day of inspiration and rejuvenation for businesswomen throughout the River Region.
