Millbrook, AL (August 9, 2023)- Today was the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Grandview Plaza in Millbrook. This plaza is home to the city’s first Publix.
Business leaders, community leaders, and elected officials gathered to celebrate the growth of the city of Millbrook and Elmore County.
“Today is a culmination of preparation and opportunity” Senator Clyde Chambliss, District 30 said in his remarks. “We look forward to Publix coming and being a fixture in the community for many years to come.”
Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley said that Grandview Plaza is a gateway to more opportunities for the growth of the city.
Terri Wallace with Publix Super Markets, Inc. shared how they are focused on customer value and community. “We look forward to bringing jobs to the community” she said. “We get to invest in a growing community like Millbrook.”
The Grandview Plaza is located on Highway 14 near Interstate-65.
The Highway 14 corridor is a gateway to the city of Millbrook” said Elmore County Commission Chairman Bart Mercer. “The improvements we will see will be transformational.”
Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Brenda Dennis gave closing remarks. “This is one of the many exciting things coming to Millbrook. This will help strengthen our economy.”
The new plaza is being constructed by real estate development company RealtyLink-Alabama, LLC.
