Entrepreneurs and Creators. In today’s world, you almost have to create content constantly. You’re fighting for the same eyeballs as your competitors, and you might see them put out content all the time.
With all you have to do to run your business, the last thing you want to think about is creating content and posting it. I know I don’t.
Let me be clear, me personally, I hate content creation.
You have to think about what you’re going to post, then you have to create the post. Then you have to post it.
Let’s not forget that you have to come up with captions and hashtags…Yeah, it’s a lot.
It would be easier to hire someone and get them to do it, right? The problem is that service can be expensive and the last thing we need is another expense.
If this is you and you feel the same way, I have some tips to help you become a content creator and not make it a burden on you.
I used to create content and post consistently but after a while I would burn out and would stop. My audience would be telling me they miss my posts and that motivated me to figure out how to not ever run out of content and feed them value all the time.
This not only leads to more customers, but it has brought in opportunities to speak, be in a movie, be a talk show host, be on podcasts and much more.
Here are 5 Ways to Create Content Easily:
- People Are Only on Social Media For 3 Reasons
- Education: People follow accounts in hopes of getting exposed to things that will bring them success. Although social media did not start out with this in mind, it has become a go-to place for education. Especially things they can learn quickly.
- Inspiration: You can become that go-to account to bring positivity to your prospects’ world. It is easy to get consumed in negativity and you can inspire them to achieve their wildest dreams and visualize that transformation they want.
- Entertainment: Social media is an escape from reality for some. Look at pages from comedians, blogs that post content about celebrities. They get a lot of engagement because people feel good when they consume this type of content. Now I am not saying you have to become a comedian nor do you have to use this strategy; however, people love to be entertained and you can incorporate this into your content mix.
- Create Long Form Content that Can Be Broken Up
Instead of creating a bunch of videos and posts for each platform, you can create one really long video, upload it somewhere like YouTube and then take the best parts and post them to all your other channels.
You can even take this same post and create blogs, tweets and Facebook statuses.
The sky is the limit when you approach your content strategy this way.
- Have a Plan
Don’t shoot from the hip. Come up with ideas, write them down and use a content planner to map out your content strategy.
When you’re organized it’s easier to stay in front of your audience frequently and consistently.
Remember, top of mind equals tip of tongue.
Email my team at info@gilbertoherrera.com if you want a copy of the content planner we use. We will send it over to you.
You should also plan a day and time to consistently create content. Block it off on your calendar and do not let anything get in the way of this time.
Once you have all this in place, leverage tools that post the content for you. There are many, so do your research and find ones that work best for you and your needs.
With a clear plan and frequency and consistency, you will build relationships with your audience and create trust in the marketplace.
Trust brings business, and business brings success. Success gives you freedom.
- Listen to Your Customers
Your customers will tell you what they want. Give it to them.
Creating content sparks conversations. Pay attention to comments, mentions, private messages and reviews.
Encourage them to share their thoughts on what you create and put out. This along with the engagement you receive will tell you what your audience likes and doesn’t like.
- Leverage AI (Artificial Intelligence)
It’s easier than ever to get inspiration and direction. With AI on the rise, it can save you time, energy, and money.
Tools like Bard by Bard by Google and ChatGPT can help you come up with content ideas, captions and an entire content plan for your niche.
The way to get the most out of these tools is to give them directions (called prompts) that the system can easily recognize.
Just be mindful to not copy what they give you word for word. Use it as a guide but put repurpose the content in your own words and your brand voice.
You should also keep in mind that you are not the only one using these tools and the system pulls content from online sources. You can be at risk of plagiarism.
In closing, you need to understand why people consume content, create long form content, have a plan, listen to your audience, and leverage tools to make the process fast and easy. Remember, frequency and consistency breeds trust.
People buy from who they know, like and trust. By giving them quality content consistently, you will become their go-to in your niche.
